Lightning Round
1. What is one fun fact about you that not that many people know?
I have almost 20 plants and they’re all named and I love them very, very much. The most recent addition to the plant family is Keith and Keith, is this like a luscious green philodendron and he looks amazing.
2. Who inspires you the most and why?
My parents have been really amazing role models to me, especially financially. I wouldn’t be able to do this, had I not had that guidance. As far as someone, I don’t know, or someone famous Elizabeth Gilbert’s work has been hugely impactful in my life.
For those of you who are not familiar, she wrote Eat, Pray, Love among other things, but I’ve seen her speak twice. Her work has been so, so impactful in the way I see the world in the way I coach. And yeah, she’s amazing.
3. What books are you reading now or have read and loved that you’d recommend?
Provenance: How a Con Man and a Forger Rewrote the History of Modern Art by Aly Sujo and Laney Salisbury
4. What is one actionable tip or piece of advice that you can tell our moms out there to help them on their financial independence journey?
I would say automate your savings.
That’s my number one thing. I want you to take away that that you can start changing your financial life completely on autopilot just by saying, okay, I want 5% of my paycheck or $500 automatically put into savings. So you don’t have to think about it and you don’t have to worry about it.
It’s just going to grow automatically.
